What’s up everyone!? Today I’m excited to present another KSMD for this new week, featuring a photography project! It’s been awhile since we last featured a photography collage type project on the site, so I think this will be quite an interesting one to break the long drought, let’s jump right into it!
Gary J Weathers is a part time landscape/stock photographer from Salem OR, and has been for over 30 years! He seeks to expand his craft, exploring the world while doing it, and sharing his works with all the rest of us. In his current project, he has an opportunity to travel to the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs this coming March to photograph the “Wave” sandstone formation.
By helping fund the project Gary will be able to the locations via pick and camper along with two other photographer who will also be taking photos along with him on his journey. They seek to mainly capture the unique sandstone formations of the wave pocket areas of Utah and Arizona. The trip will last 10 days and will also include photography captures of Lower Antelope Canyon and the Horeshow Bend of the Colorado River. Gary states that if conditions are in his favor he may also shoot some time laps videos as well.
