What’s up guys and gals! Today’s KSMD is featuring a music project that I am personally very excited about myself, and cannot wait to share with you all! Just when I thought I was done discovering good folk bands, I came across this project and immediately fell in love. Without further ado, let’s jump right into it!
Madrona is an Acoustic and Vocal Quintet based out of Eugene, Oregon, and are now seeking to present to the world their debut Album! The album is set to be of a sort of neo-folk genre, so definitely something fresh and unique! The band features many members, such as Jake, who does, guitar, ukulele, piano, and vocals; Kevin, who also does piano, vocals, and guitar; Amanda Tilo, who does vocals, ukulele, and glockenspiel; Tiffany Holliday, whi plays the violion, cello, and does vocals, and lastly, Kyle Malcolm Mangan, who does double bass, and vocals. As you can tell, all members have quite a significant role in the group, and are all pretty much equal, there is no “leader” of the group.
Madrona has been writing and practicing music for over a year, and is set to begin recording their debut album. The album will feature over 40 minutes of brand new music, and will be an essential stepping stone for preparing to go on their first tour, and to bring in new listeners! The album will be available through physical distribution, digital download, and available to purchase at the shows, all of this will only be possible if the project is fully funded.
While it may seem cheap to get your music out there to the world, it is pretty costly to do if efficiently and professionally, and with a goal of $3,000 and 22 days left to go, there is plenty of time to jump on this project! The proceeds will be used for; recording, mixing, video production, CD printing, and digital distribution, print materials, and much more, so please support!
