KickStart Me! – Worry Dolls Debut Album

Well good Monday everyone!

We’re back after a week hiatus, to share more Kickstarter Projects with you all! Hopefully the lack of KSMD’s last week, inspired you all to head on over to KickStarter.com yourself, and to checkout some of the amazing talent and projects that are on the site, just waiting to be discovered!

Today, we’re excited to share yet another Music Project with you all, yeah we’re on a total music project streak, aren’t we? Anyway, let’s not waste any time, and jump into today’s Project!

Over the past few years, I’ve grown an incredible secret admiring for folk music, more specifically indie folk. My craze started back in 2010 when The River Empires hit the scene, and offered something I had never been exposed to before. After growing up with a terrible stereotypical outlook on more country sounding and folk music, my own discovery and venture into the genre sparked something in me that forever changed me.

Worry Dolls is another one of those bands that have sparked my interest in the genre of Folk music. Based out of the UK, the Worry Dolls are a 2-person female folk band, creating creative tunes, and touring around the UK at various venues and festivals.

During September of 2015, the band fulfilled the dream of visiting one of the most prominent cities for folk music, Nashville, TN, where the two began to write and record their debut album, alongside some other very talented songwriters and musicians.

Since then, the band has recorded and completed the record, with a promise of a early 2017 release! The current goal of the band’s Project ($2,637), has since been reached with 33 days remaining, and $4,196 currently pledged! All proceeds will be used for a Vinyl release, and distribution across the world!
